Ryan Argast is a vocalist, songwriter, and frontman of the alternative pop rock trio, Marina City, Argast and the band have been crowned Band of the Year by Ernie Ball, Cumulus Media and more. Since 2012 the band has gained a world wide following while featured on Warped Tour, Riot Fest, South By Southwest, and Q101 PIQNIQ. Songs “Man in The Mirror”and “Addicted” have both reached over 1.5million streams on Spotify and radio airplay across the country. Argast’s signature raw vocal tone was met with multiple standing ovations from judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie beating out nearly 100,000 contestants on American Idol. In 2024 he was on the first ever Team Dan + Shay on The Voice even having the opportunity to sing with his coaches. He has also appeared on WGN news, ABC news, Daytime Chicago, MTV and has been featured on Marquee Network and ESPN singing the National Anthem for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls respectively. As a songwriter Argast has written music for television and commercials including Teen Mom 2, and the Chicago Bulls. When home from Tour Argast performs in the premier wedding band, Lake Shore Encores under Gold Coast Events, and performs solo acoustic cover sets all across Chicago’s renowned hotels and restaurants. In 2022 Argast released the solo record, Twice on Sundays, dedicated to his family. The single “Empty Chair” has been used in grade school curriculums for Poetry dissection.
